About

The mandurugo usually pretends to be a beautiful woman who marries its male victim. Every night, they sip the blood of their husband, which weakens him by each passing day. When their husband dies, the mandurugo looks for a new man to marry and feed on. 1

For other Tagalogs, the mandurugo is an aswang who targets children. They take the children’s blood to use it as an ingredient to strengthen bridges and buildings that are being constructed. They also use it to water jewels that they plant on the ground. 1

Survival
  • They can be slain by using sharpened bamboo to stab them 1 Pointed Bamboo.png
